21. Sphere – Light – Crown Chakra
The crown chakra is associated with our belief systems. It serves as a connection to source and the infinite nature of our soul. Spheres inspire the mind to transcend thought.
Spheres are three-dimensional circles. Our sun is a sphere, and a star, and our source of light. The electromagnetic spectrum of light makes up less than 5% of all ordinary matter. Light that is actually visible to the human eye represents less than 2.3% of this spectrum and is created by narrow wavelengths of pure spectral colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. Infrared light (below red) and ultra violet (above violet) are made up of frequencies that are invisible to the human eye. This full spectrum of light includes UVA, radio waves, microwaves, X-rays & gamma rays.
The remaining 95% of our universe contains dark energy and dark matter. We tend to be drawn to the light but we live in a universe filled with unmanifested darkness. This can be seen as pure potential waiting to become manifest.
Message: Balancing darkness and light is an important dynamic in all aspects of your life. Both are necessary to maintain optimum health physically and spiritually. If you fear the dark it is time to make peace with it. Think of darkness as the unmanifested potential that lies within you. If the dark represents fear, remember that you are the one projecting this fear. When you own your projections, you realize that you are the only one who can change it. If sleep is an issue create a darker environment in your bedroom and establish a nourishing nighttime ritual that calms your senses. If you avoid light go outside and make peace with the sun and the moon in moderation. Create a daily routine that balances the light and dark that are playing out in your life right now.
“We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light.” – Evelyn Dunbar
The crown chakra is located at the top of the head and is connected to our belief system. This is the place of spiritual connection beyond the self. It represents the upper world and the archetype of branches. In sacred geometry, it is the Merkaba or star tetrahedron reminding us that we come from the stars and will return to the stars. Its element is light and its belief is represented by our dreams or night visions. The crown chakra serves as a connection to source that sees beyond the self to the infinite soul.
