The star of life is associated with our crown chakra, reminding us that we come from the stars and will return to the stars. The star of life is also known as a Merkabah, which consists of two rotating tetrahedrons. The upward pointing tetrahedron represents – fire, air and blade; while the downward facing tetrahedron represents – water, earth and chalice. Together, they represent the union of our body, mind and soul.
In Hebrew, Merkabah means “chariot”, based on the visions of Ezekiel who saw a chariot composed of four beings that represented the four directions and the likeness of man. In Egyptian mythology, the merkabah meant, “beloved soul body and soul spirit” (Mer – beloved, ka – soul body, ba – soul spirit). The merkabah magically transports us to and from the stars.
The star of life is also representative of light. Our Sun, the central and only star in our solar system, gives us life by generating light through electromagnetic energy.
Scientists and astronomers have suggested that there are close to 2 trillion galaxies in our known universe with an average of 100 million stars in each galaxy. Our universe is estimated to have begun over 13.8 billion years ago. Some believe in the concept of multi-verses, which means there are other universes beyond ours. In reality there could be an infinite number of stars that speak to our soul and call us home.
The star of life encourages us to dream within the realm of infinite possibilities as we reconnect with the stardust that created us. All life on earth began from the many elements, chemicals and metals found in the star dust that impacted our earth over 4.5 billion years ago. As temperatures changed, complex elements such as water formed, which encouraged the growth of cellular bacteria and other organic micro-organisms. Eventually life evolved and began to replicate itself through unique RNA and DNA sequences.
There is a belief that we hold the blueprints of this cellular memory within us. By remembering that we all come from the stars we realize that we are interconnected with all that is.
Message: The stars are reminding us to connect with our inner compass for guidance. Make time to gaze at the stars and learn their stories. Begin to sense how stars and constellations are speaking to our soul and how their message relates to life now.
“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.” – Carl Sagan
