Crown Chakra – Nature’s Archetype – Upper World
The crown chakra is located at the top of the head and is connected to our belief system. This is the place of spiritual connection beyond the self.
The branches of a tree represent our desire to connect to something beyond our self. Just as the roots ofa tree reach down to the earth, branches reach up toward the sky. Many early cultures believed that when a person died their physical body returned to the earth and their soul or spirit returned to the stars. As humans studied the sky, they noticed that the sun set at night in the same basic direction and rose in the opposite direction each morning.
These early cultures began recording sunrises and sunsets until they understood the cycle of a solar year. These ancient astronomers also tracked the stars by connecting the dots, which inspired the creation of divine order.
The word divine comes from the Latin root word “devin” meaning “as above”. The sound of wind through the trees is often associated with the voice of the divine. When the Bible was translated from Hebrew, Greek and Latin into German, the ancient Semitic names of El, Elohim, Adonai, YHVH and Jehovah were replaced with the Proto-Germanic word Guden, meaning: “to invoke the sound of wind”. This was based on the passage in Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the sound of the Jehovah walking in the garden in the cool of the day,” “cool of the day” is interpreted as the evening winds.
In Sumerian mythology the deity Enlil was known as the lord of the winds and the Cedars of Lebanon were seen as the home of the gods. As cultures evolved Enlil merged with others deities into the divine deity known as El, which is associated with the Elohim and the roots of Judeo-Christian faith. The Bible was translated into English in 1526 and the word guden became associated with good as the word God became a proper noun. There are multiple myths that revolve around trees and the divine. The Greek sky god Zeus was associated with oak trees. The name Zeus name is directly related to the Vedic sky father Dyaus Pitr, later known as Jove or Jupiter in Rome.
There are a thousand names for “God” yet it is also nameless. The branches of a tree hold these sacred stories written in the sky. The crown chakra serves as a connection to our source.
Message: It is time for us to reach out and believe in our dreams. Allow our dreams to be known so the universe can help us make them come true. Remember that we are a child of the universe who came from the stars.
